My thoughts on the show: Third Season please!

Post-process ramble:

Phew! I finally finished it. I've been busy with work for the past couple of weeks, so I didn't get to work on this as much as I wanted to. I started this as soon as the second season ended. Unplanned, as usual. I just started sketching some random faces in Photoshop, and somehow it started to look like Yui. When that happened, I just knew I had to make an illustration for the whole group. So, after I made the initial lineart, I transferred over to SAI for the colours. Man, that was tough. I went through several revisions of the lines. Cleaned them  up, made some adjustments...LOTS of adjustments actually. I had to refer to the character sheets too. This is probably one of the most detailed studies I went for character references. And there are 3 of them in one picture. Pretty rare for me to do something like this, but I enjoyed the challenge. The toughest one to get right was Yukino. Her ojou-sama posture and design was a pain in the ass for me to emulate, since my drawing style is more of the rough and sketchy kind, if that makes any sense. I had to redo her pose, face and hair a bazillion times till I was satisfied with this final outcome. On the other and, I managed to nail Yui and Hachiman's design in one quick sketch. Definitely surprised myself when I did that. I did tweak them quite a bit as well near the end, but nowhere near as much as Yukino. Towards the end, after some heavy colouring and effects in SAI, I almost lost all motivation to complete it. It wasn't turning out how I expected, and SAI was eating memory up like crazy. So I saved the PNG and moved back to Photoshop to add some dazzle to the shnazzle. And so here it is. Enjoy.
